I never really did - until I drove from Ontario to Rossburg, Ohio for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Kings Royal. There are a lot of truckers behind making racing events like this possible!

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) conducted their 29th annual International Roadcheck program from June 7-9, 2016. During this 72-hour period, 10,000+ CVSA-certified inspectors conducted inspections across North America with a special emphasis placed on tire safety. The results for Canada have been released - check out the infographic below for details. Results for the United States are expected in September.

In early February, Transport Canada announced that Canada will follow a similar legislation to the FMCSA ELD mandate that passed in the United States last year. To date, there has been limited information released about the proposed "Canadian ELD mandate". However, many Canadian trucking associations have publicly expressed their support of ELDs - and for good reason!
